A Content Management System (CMS) is simply put a web site. It is a web site that allows the content to be managed through the use of the same browser that is used to view the site. Only authorised users can manage the content and some of the tasks they can perfom include:

• Add additional content
• Remove outdated content
• Update current information, this will include typically updating business address, new products added, new employees...

CMS systems put you the owner of the site in charge of your website. You do not have to call an IT expert to change information on your site. You only need an experts help in setting up the site and then from then on you are in charge.
